In the near future where parenthood is strictly controlled, a couple's seven-day assessment for the right to have a child unravels into a psychological nightmare.

Inspired by films like Ex Machina, The Lobster and Soylent Green, The Assessment is an absurdly dark look at overpopulation and what that will mean for the future.

The Assessment is directed by Fleur Fortuné, produced by Number 9 Films, Stephen Woolley & Elizabeth Karlsen and stars Elizabeth Olsen, Alicia Vikander and Himesh Patel - it premiered at TIFF and will play at BFI London Film Festival.
